Dr. Kirby was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After completing a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Biology (1997) and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (1998) at Dalhousie University, he attended the Dalhousie School of Dentistry, graduating in 2002 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Following dental school, he completed a one-year surgical-based General Practice Residency (GPR) at the University of Western Ontario.
After return to Nova Scotia, Dr. Kirby entered private practice in the Halifax area where he has worked for the past seventeen years. During this time he also served as the Staff Dentist at the Pauline Potter Health Center at Northwoodcare Inc.
Dr. Kirby is a member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Nova Scotia Dental Association and the Atlantic Implant Study Club. He also serves as a member of the disciplinary committee of the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia. A strong believer in continuing education and comprehensive approach to dental care, Dr. Kirby will provide you and your family with the care you deserve.
Away from the office, Dr. Kirby enjoys surfing, skiing, coaching minor basketball and spending time with his wife and three children.
