Meet Dr. Robyn Archer

Dr. Archer was born and raised in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Following completion of her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Prince Edward Island, she moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University’s Dental program. She graduated in 2002 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and went on to complete a General Practice Residency program at the University of Western Ontario. Upon returning to Nova Scotia, she practiced general dentistry in the Clayton Park area for over 11 years.

Dr. Archer is a member of the Canadian Dental Association and the Nova Scotia Dental Association and is continually updating her dental education to stay up to date in all areas of the ever-evolving field of dentistry. She is a member of the Aesthetic Alliance study club which focuses on the art and science of restoring dental implants.

Dr. Archer is thrilled to be joining Penhorn Dental Centre as an owner, making it her new and long term dental home. She is working alongside the wonderful support staff who have been dedicated to the office for many, many years. Dr. Archer is known for her warm, caring and compassionate chairside manner and for taking the time with each patient to provide all of the options for their comprehensive dental care.

Friday (Dr. Stu Kirby) 8:00am – 3:00pm

Meet Dr. Archer’s Team


- Dental Hygienist -

Johnena is a graduate of the Dalhousie University Dental Hygiene program. She has over 30 years experience and is an exceptional and dedicated clinical hygienist. She is meticulous, thorough and gentle. She excels in patient education and periodontal therapy. She is very knowledgeable and approachable.


- Dental Hygienist -

Brittany graduated from the 2014 class of Dental Hygiene at Dalhousie University. Her gentle approach and good sense of humour puts patients immediately at ease. Brittany lives on a hobby farm and loves to travel in her spare time.


- Dental Assistant -

Jane is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Community College Dental Assisting program, and is registered as a certified level II dental assistant in Nova Scotia. Jane is a gentle and caring individual. She is very skilled at anticipating patient needs and keeping them comfortable during their appointments. She is very approachable and knowledgeable and is always eager to answer questions or any concerns that patients may have.


- Receptionist -

Andrea is a graduate of the Cape Breton Business College Dental Assisting Level II program.

She has been working in dentistry for 10 years. The first 8, Andrea worked chairside with the dentist and she has recently changed to full time reception. Her assisting background and knowledge base in all dental procedures ensures that is able to answer any questions you may have.


- Office Manager -

Jayne has worked in the dental field for a number of years. She has worked in every department in a dental office and this enables her to manage Penhorn Dental Centre to reach its full expectations. Her ability to communicate with patients and staff positions her to be an excellent manager. If your concerns cannot be managed by Dr. Archer's front desk, Jayne can address these matters.
